Exercises for frozen shoulder

  1. The easiest and most convenient functional exercise method for frozen shoulder: 1. Patients should do more exercises for their shoulder joints, especially if they do large exercises for 10 minutes each time, which is good for preventing shoulder joint adhesions, shoulder soft tissue constriction and contractures. For patients with mild frozen shoulder, it can be cured by adhering to functional exercises.  2.Bend over and draw a circle: Patients with rotated shoulders bend over and hang their arms, fling the affected arm and make a circle movement from inside to outside or from outside to inside with the shoulder as the center, using the flinging of the arm to drive the shoulder joint activities.  3.Back extension squat: The patient stands in front of the table with his back to the table, holds his hands back to the table and repeatedly does squatting movements to strengthen the back extension activities of the shoulder joint.  4.Climbing the wall: The patient stands facing the wall, raises his hands upwards, holds them on the wall and tries to climb upwards, trying to climb higher than the previous day.  If you do not heal, you can do this for a long time, which is good for the treatment and prevention of frozen shoulder.  2. Shoulder exercise “Eight Duan Jin”: 1. Elbow flexion and hand shaking: Patients stand with their backs against the wall, or lie on their backs, with their upper arms against their bodies, flexing their elbows and using the elbow point as a fulcrum to perform external rotation activities.  2.Finger climbing wall: The patient stands facing the wall, slowly climbing upward along the wall with the affected side of the finger, making the upper limb as high as possible, to the maximum, making a mark on the wall, and then slowly going back down to the original place, repeatedly, gradually increasing the height.  3.Posterior hand pulling: the patient stands naturally, in the position of internal rotation and backward extension of the affected upper limb, the healthy side of the hand pulls the affected hand or wrist, gradually pulling to the healthy side and pulling upward.  4.Span arm standing: the patient’s upper limbs naturally droop, arms straight, palms down slowly abduct, lift upward with force, stop for 10 minutes after reaching the maximum, then back to the original place, repeatedly.  5, posterior extension touch spine: the patient stands naturally, in the affected upper limb internally rotated and posteriorly extended posture, bend the elbow, flex the wrist, the middle finger finger touch the spinal spine, from the bottom gradually up to the maximum and then stay still, 2 minutes and then slowly back down to the original place, repeatedly, gradually increase the height.  6, hair comb: patients standing or supine can be, the affected side of the elbow flexion, forearm forward up and rotate forward (palm up), try to use the elbow to rub the forehead, that is, sweat wipe action.  7.Head and pillow hands: The patient lies on his back, crosses the fingers of both hands, palms up, and puts them on the back of the head (occiput), first makes both elbows inward as much as possible, and then extends them as much as possible.  8. Shoulder rotation: The patient stands, the affected limb drops naturally, the elbow is straightened, and the affected arm circles from the front upward to the backward, with the amplitude from small to large, repeated several times.  Please note that the above eight movements do not need to be done every time, you can choose to exercise alternately according to your specific situation, 3 – 5 times a day, generally about 30 times per movement, more than one is not limited, as long as you are persistent, the prevention and treatment of frozen shoulder will be very beneficial.
