How to Adjust Eye Strabismus

Strabismus patients can be treated with medication, surgery and other treatments depending on the patient’s condition. 1. Medication: Botulinum toxin type A is used to temporarily paralyze the eye muscles that have the opposite effect of paralyzing muscles, thus balancing the eye position and correcting strabismus. 2. Surgical treatment: Surgical methods include muscle weakening, muscle strengthening, and vertical displacement of horizontal muscles. (1) Muscle weakening: Surgery to weaken the overly strong eye muscles. (2) Muscle Strengthening: Surgery to strengthen weak eye muscles. (3) Vertical displacement of horizontal muscles: For patients with horizontal strabismus who do not have abnormalities of the oblique muscles. 3. Other treatments: Patients with accommodative strabismus can be treated with glasses to correct the refractive error and balance the eye position. It is recommended that patients with strabismus should consult the doctor in time to evaluate their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions.
