Are dental implants strong?

Dental implants are strong and consist of two parts: the implant and the crown. The implant is buried in the jawbone after surface treatment and is in close contact with the surrounding bone wall. At the same time, the newborn bone is gradually deposited on the surface of the implant, with which a strong osseointegration is formed, capable of withstanding large chewing forces. Porcelain or all-ceramic crowns are attached to the implant by a central screw and are able to obtain good support. In the anterior region, a slender implant restoration is usually chosen, which can be both strong and aesthetically pleasing. In the posterior region, thicker implants can be chosen, which are favorable for larger biting forces. If the alveolar bone is wider, a combined restoration of 2-3 implants can be applied to simulate the root form of natural teeth and share more biting force.
