What does the icu treat?



ICU is called Intensive Care Unit in Chinese, which mainly accepts the treatment of patients with serious diseases.

ICU mainly provides timely, systematic, high-quality medical monitoring and rescue techniques for patients with life-threatening dysfunction of one or more organs and systems due to various reasons. The diseases treated are broader and involve a variety of organ failures.

ICU usually treats cardiac and respiratory arrest, various types of shock, respiratory failure, severe asthma, severe cardiac arrhythmia, heart failure, severe pancreatitis, severe infections, sepsis, hemorrhage, acute renal insufficiency, multiple organ insufficiency or hypertensive crisis, severe trauma, multiple injuries, ketoacidosis, thyroid crisis, adrenal crisis, and so on.

When the condition progresses to severe, early admission to the ICU should be made to maximize the therapeutic benefit.
