Multiple lacunar cerebral infarction belongs to one kind of infarction caused by cerebral small vessel disease, which refers to the small penetrating arteries in the deep part of the cerebral hemisphere or brainstem, on the basis of long-term high blood pressure, the vessel wall lesions, resulting in the formation of small infarct foci by occlusion of the lumen of the official cavity, and the cystic foci with a diameter of 0.2-15mm are shown on the head CT or the head MRI. Cavernous cerebral infarction is mostly seen in middle-aged and old people, with long-term history of hypertension, acute or gradual onset of the disease, usually no headache, and there is no impaired consciousness, and there are four more common clinical types: (1) pure motor light hemiparesis, which is the most common type, accounting for about 60% of the cases, and manifested by the ipsilateral crookedness of the mouth and tongue, and unfavorable limb movement; (2) dysarthria-hand clumsiness syndrome, accounting for about 20% of the cases, manifested by less clear speech, (2) dysarthria-hand clumsiness syndrome, accounting for about 20% of cases, manifested by unclear speech, dysphagia, paralysis on the opposite side of the lesion, mild weakness of the hand, and fine-motor disorders; (3) purely sensory strokes, accounting for about 10% of cases, manifested by eccentric sensory disorders; (4) ataxic mild hemiparesis, manifested by unfavorable limb movement on one side, and unstable ataxic movements, with lower limbs often being heavier than the upper limbs. The prognosis of lacunar cerebral infarction is good, with low mortality and disability rates, but it is prone to recurrent episodes, and the most serious consequences are often related to vascular cognitive dysfunction, so prevention of recurrence of the disease is extremely important. Asymptomatic lacunar infarcts detected by routine head CT are of no clinical significance because the infarcts do not affect functional areas or because of good vascular compensation. In conclusion, although the prognosis of lacunar cerebral infarction is better than that of other types of cerebral infarction, it is still necessary to pay attention to the control of risk factors such as hypertension, hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, etc., smoking and alcohol cessation, moderate physical exercise and reasonable diets, etc., in order to prevent the recurrence of the disease.
