Treatment of endocrine disorders

Most of the endocrine disorders are treated with cause-specific therapy to relieve the original disease, and the following treatment measures are mainly taken: 1. surgical removal of tumors or hyperplastic tissues that cause hyperfunction; 2. drug therapy: inhibit the synthesis and release of hormones; 3. replacement therapy or complementary therapy: with the progress of biomedicine, there are many biological agents synthesized by genetic engineering, which are identical to the structure of human hormones, used for replacement therapy. This reduces the immune and allergic reactions and makes the effect of substitution therapy more ideal. However, there are still many hormones for which no analogues have been produced for replacement therapy, and only hormone replacement metabolites can be used for treatment, such as vitamin D and calcium for hypoparathyroidism; 4, endocrine gland tissue transplantation: it may eventually achieve satisfactory physiological function replacement therapy; 5, gene therapy: gene therapy may become a new technology for the eradication of endocrine diseases in the next century.
