What medical checkups do women need before preparing for pregnancy

Before preparing for pregnancy, women need to undergo general examination, blood biochemistry examination, etc.

1. General examination: including weight, height, gynecological examination, ultrasound of uterine adnexa and mammary glands, leukorrhea routine, cervical cancer screening, electrocardiogram, blood pressure and so on.

2. Blood and biochemical tests: blood sugar, liver function, kidney function, blood lipids, etc., thyroid function, infectious diseases, such as AIDS, syphilis, hepatitis B, etc., as well as blood type, sex hormone six, eugenics four (including rubella virus, cytomegalovirus, toxoplasmosis, and herpes simplex virus) and other tests.

Women are advised to go to regular hospitals for checkups before preparing for pregnancy, mainly for eugenics. However, since the examination time for the tests varies and the blood biochemistry test requires fasting in most cases, it is recommended to visit the hospital first for advice on precautions.
