Symptoms of chronic tonsillitis

Symptoms of chronic tonsillitis are mainly pharyngeal discomfort, halitosis and dyspnea.
1. Pharyngeal discomfort: patients often have symptoms of sore throat and are prone to colds and acute tonsillitis. Usually, there may also be a slight dryness of the throat, foreign body sensation, itching and other discomfort symptoms.
2. Bad breath: if the patient’s tonsil crypts retain some decayed material, or a large number of anaerobic bacteria, it can also cause bad breath symptoms.
3. Breathlessness: mostly seen in young children, tonsils over-hypertrophy, may appear breathlessness, snoring and other symptoms, some patients with serious conditions, may also appear swallowing difficulties and other symptoms.
4. Other symptoms: after the purulent secretions in the tonsil crypts and the bacteria and toxins in the crypts are absorbed by the body, systemic symptoms such as dyspepsia, headache, fever and so on may also appear.
