Does cranial repair help with hemiplegia recovery?

Cranial repair is not a fundamental measure for treating hemiplegia, but it is helpful for hemiplegic patients to recover their function. Hemiplegia is a complete paralysis of half of the body and refers to paralysis of one side of the limb due to central nerve damage from various causes, often accompanied by cerebral nerve damage on the same side. It is mostly seen in intracranial lesions or strokes. Craniovertebral repair is a common brain surgery procedure to address paradoxical cerebral blood supply, insufficient or impaired cerebrospinal fluid circulation, and cerebral compression caused by cranial defects. Cranial bone repair does not cure hemiplegia per se, but if a hemiplegic patient is accompanied by symptoms of cranial bone defect, cranial bone repair can improve local blood and cerebrospinal fluid circulation, which is helpful for hemiplegic patients’ functional recovery. It is recommended that patients should seek medical treatment in time and choose the appropriate treatment plan under the guidance of doctors.
