Prevention and treatment of insomnia

  Insomnia is a persistent physiological disorder with unsatisfactory sleep quality and/or quantity, and apprehension or fear of insomnia is a causative psychological factor in the development of this disorder.  Insomnia is the most common sleep disorder and refers to various causes of sleep deprivation, difficulty falling asleep, and early awakening. The main symptom of insomnia is the effect on the performance of daytime activities, such as feeling fatigue, irritability, mood disorders, lack of concentration and poor memory, so the ability and efficiency of insomniacs are often reduced. Patients generally have a prolonged latency to enter sleep, a shortened sleep duration, and increased physiological awakenings during the process of falling asleep.  The main manifestations: lighter patients have difficulty falling asleep, wake up easily during sleep and have difficulty falling asleep again; wake up too early in the morning. In severe cases, it is difficult to sleep all night long, often accompanied by headache and dizziness, fatigue, palpitations and forgetfulness, restlessness and dreaminess, etc. Patients often feel anxious and fearful about insomnia.
