1.Urological disorders Intravenous urography is mainly used for the diagnosis of urological disorders, such as: renal pelvis mass, ureteral lesion, bladder lesion, urinary tract stone, unexplained hematuria, recurrent urinary tract infection, congenital urinary tract variation, renal mass, prostate tumor, benign prostatic hyperplasia, obstructive ureteral lesion, vesicoureteral reflux, etc., which have abnormal changes in clinical or laboratory examination and need to be diagnosed. This test is optional for those who have abnormal changes in clinical or laboratory examination and need imaging for definite diagnosis. It can also determine the excretory function of the kidneys and is of some significance in identifying pyelonephritis, renal tuberculosis and renal tumors. Intravenous urography is particularly important in the diagnosis of renal pelvis tumors, ureteral tumors and bladder tumors, and is one of the basic tests for the diagnosis of the above tumors. 2.All patients with abdominal or retroperitoneal tumors who suspect that the tumor is closely related to the organs of urinary system can also undergo intravenous urography to clearly determine the relationship between the lesion and the organs of urinary system. Certain diseases that may be accompanied by lesions, such as gout, diabetes, hypercalcemia, pelvic disorders, Hodgkin’s disease, lymphosarcoma, etc., can be examined to clarify the status of the urinary organs. 4, some patients with clinical manifestations such as hypertension, anemia, unexplained fever, etc., suspect that the above abnormalities may be caused by urological diseases, this test can be done to clarify the diagnosis. 5.Suspected urinary stones, but no positive findings on abdominal plain film In order to know whether there are negative stones and to determine the site of stones, imaging examination can be performed.
