The statement that there are 12 diseases to consider for chest pain is not true.
The causes of chest pain can be divided into physiological and pathological causes.
1. Physiological causes: Normal people may cause lactic acid buildup in the muscles around the chest during excessive exercise or exertion, resulting in pain, which can be gradually relieved after appropriate rest.
2. Pathologic causes
(1) Cardiopulmonary diseases: Chest pain may occur when patients suffer from coronary heart disease, acute myocardial infarction, pneumothorax, pulmonary embolism and other diseases.
(2) Trauma: patients with rib fracture due to trauma, in addition to chest pain, may also be accompanied by localized pressure pain and bone rubbing sound.
(3) Digestive system diseases: such as gastric ulcer, gastric cancer, esophageal cancer, etc., the patient will have retrosternal pain, and the pain will be aggravated with swallowing.
If the symptoms of chest pain are not relieved or accompanied by other symptoms, patients should go to the hospital in time to get a clear explanation of the cause of the pain and then give the treatment for the cause of the pain.
