What is the condition of small dots in the lungs

Small dots in the lungs are small shadows or nodules in the lungs. Nodules include tiny nodules, ground glass nodules, partially solid nodules, and solid nodules. If you have previously had tuberculosis and have recovered after regular anti-tuberculosis treatment, small dot-like changes, also called punctate nodules, can be found in the apical areas of the upper lungs during imaging of the lungs. If one has had a respiratory infectious disease, such as severe pneumonia, lung abscess, or bronchiectasis, these diseases do not heal and can leave small punctate changes on the lungs. Ground glass nodules, partially solid nodules, and solid nodules are identified as malignant or benign changes based on their size, and the possibility of thoracic surgical intervention is considered for treatment based on whether they are larger than 0.8 cm, in strict accordance with the screening criteria for pulmonary nodules.
