The main ingredients of Tianwang Xinxin Pill are Salvia miltiorrhiza, Acorus calamus, Poria, Fructus schisandrae chinensis, Ophiopogonis, Cyperus rotundus and so on, which have the effect of tonifying the heart and tranquillizing the mind and nourishing Yin and nourishing the blood. It can be used for insomnia and dreaminess, deficiency of heart yin, palpitation and forgetfulness, and dry stools. Its adverse effects and contraindications are not clear.
2. Spleen Pill is composed of Codonopsis pilosula, fried jujube nut, roasted Astragalus, made farzhi, longan meat, atractylodes macrocephala, etc. It can nourish the blood and calm the mind, benefit the qi and strengthen the spleen. It is used for insomnia and excessive dreaming, dizziness, shortness of breath, palpitation, fatigue and loss of appetite caused by deficiency of heart and spleen.
It may cause adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal discomfort and skin rash, and the contraindications are not clear.
Tianwangxin Pill and Guisheng Pill should be taken under the guidance of a physician, and should not be taken on their own to avoid adverse effects.
