Cautions for MRI of the neck

There are precautions to take before doing MRI. Patients must listen to the warnings of MRI room staff before MRI, and pay attention to whether they have artificial metal implants or electronic implants, such as pacemakers, aneurysm clips, titanium clips, brain stimulation electrodes, insulin pumps, cochlear implants, artificial hearing bones, etc. These metal implants or electronic implants must be prompted to the MRI staff . During the MRI scan of the neck, patients should not wear metal objects such as earrings and necklaces, or remove them if they have mobile dentures, so as to avoid the effects of metal artifacts, and wear underwear that does not have metal hooks or metal steel rings. During the examination, there will be noise and vibration during the MRI, and there will be a slight heating, which is normal and patients do not need to worry excessively. During the examination, patients should try to ensure calm breathing and minimize the artifacts caused by breathing movements so as to achieve the best examination results. Avoid artifacts that cause unnecessary diagnostic misunderstandings and fall into diagnostic traps. Patients cooperate well with the examination in order to achieve a win-win situation for both doctors and patients.
