What is class BI-RADS3?

The BI-RADS3 category is not a drug name, but rather a rating of how benign or malignant a breast hyperplastic nodule is on mammography. Generally speaking, most of the BI-RADS3 breast hyperplasia nodules are considered benign lesions, and less than 3% of breast hyperplasia nodules have the possibility of malignancy. Therefore, when breast hyperplasia nodules are graded as BI-RADS3, they can not be treated with special treatment, and the breast ultrasound can be rechecked regularly every 6-12 months. If the nodule increases in size progressively and is accompanied by pain and discomfort, it should be considered that there is a possibility of cancer, and it should go to breast surgery or general surgery department of regular hospitals in time, and undergo molybdenum target mammography or fine-needle aspiration biopsy to clarify the nature of the diseased nodule, and surgical excision is feasible when necessary; if there is no obvious change of the hyperplastic breast nodule even after 1 year of regular review of breast ultrasound, then the review cycle can be prolonged to 12-24 months.
