Tourette’s syndrome

  Repeated, involuntary muscle twitches and vocal twitches occur anywhere in the body and are clinically manifested by a variety of movements, including frowning, blinking, pouting, head bobbing, head nodding, neck turning, shoulder shrugging, hand shaking, foot stomping, leg kicking, etc. As a result of the twitching of the vocal organs and diaphragm, throat-clearing sounds, coughing sounds, chicken sounds, hiccups, etc. are produced.
  According to the composition and duration of the movement, it can be divided into
  1.Transient tic disorder: lasting at least 2 weeks, but not more than 1 year.
  2.Chronic motor or vocal tic disorder: symptoms occur frequently and persistently, often for more than 1 year, with intervals of no more than 2 months
  3.Twitching-obscene syndrome: vocal twitching and motor twitching are present at the same time.
  The cause is unknown, but Chinese medicine believes that it should be attributed to the emotional pathogenesis. The seven emotional changes of joy, anger, worry, thought, sadness, fear and fright, if they bother the child for a long time, can cause tic disorder.
  Treatment
  Those with mild symptoms do not require special treatment, while those with chronic tic disorder and tic disorder can be treated with medication that mostly achieves satisfactory results.
  Less than 20% of patients with Tourette’s syndrome will develop into a severe condition that is difficult to control with medication and can be controlled with surgery. However, surgery is risky and should only be considered if there is extremely severe self-injurious behavior and adequate medication has failed.

  Eat more vegetables, fruits, coarse grains, soy products.
