Hysterical seizures may have motor, sensory and blurred consciousness similar to epileptic seizures, often occurring after mental stimulation and in the presence of someone. They take various forms, with strong self-expression, such as closing of the eyes, crying, twitching of the hands and feet and hyperventilation, and can last for several hours, requiring comfort and suggestive treatment.
