The seizures can be caused by the synchronization of abnormal neuronal discharges in the brain. The seizures can be characterized by loss of consciousness, upper limb flexion, lower limb extension, as well as closed teeth or foaming at the mouth. The patient usually has a previous history of epilepsy and can be given an EEG after taking oral antiepileptic drugs to confirm the diagnosis. The patient’s seizures are similar to epileptic seizures, but the patient’s limbs are in a straight state and the upper limbs are not flexed or hypertonic. After symptomatic treatment or emotional relaxation, the patient’s convulsions can be significantly improved, and there is no abnormal waveform on EEG.
