When a tendon is injured and cannot play sports, it is important to diagnose whether the injury is a ligament injury or a tendon ligament injury and the extent of the injury, whether it is a complete rupture or an incomplete rupture. For a complete rupture injury, surgical repair and suturing is performed to heal in the anatomical position. Because incomplete injuries are muscle and ligament tears and strains, early activity is not allowed because early activity will aggravate the ligament injury, so braking is taken and a cast or brace is used to create a good healing environment for the ligament injury to heal normally on the basis of the injury. Usually wait until 3 weeks after the pain is gone before starting activities to prevent muscle atrophy, but the injury site is not yet active. It generally takes 6-8 weeks for a normal ligament injury to heal before functional exercise can be performed, and early activity is generally not required, and functional exercise can be performed after healing. Formal treatment can prevent late ligament laxity, joint instability, and sequelae, and early ligament injury is not advocated for early activity.
