Cervical polyps can worsen if not removed for several years

Cervical polyps are benign cervical lesions with a low chance of cancer, about 0.2%-0.4%, and it is not possible to determine whether or not they will become cancerous and for how many years. Cervical polyp is a manifestation of chronic cervicitis, and there is a possibility of malignant change, but the chance of cancer is small, and it is rare clinically. At the same time, whether cervical polyp is cancerous or not is not clearly related to time, but directly related to the severity of the disease. If cervicitis is serious or combined with HPV infection, it is prone to cancer. If chronic cervicitis is not serious and timely treatment is provided, cancer will not occur. In addition, patients with cervical polyps can also achieve preventive effects by strengthening personal hygiene habits, exercising regularly, improving their resistance, consuming sufficient nutrition and maintaining a healthy state of mind, and the cure rate of cervical polyps is high, so don’t worry too much.
