Bleeding after colposcopy

Bleeding after colposcopy is usually classified into two cases: one is severe ectopic cervical columnar epithelium, and the other is caused by cervical biopsy, which is often performed at the same time as colposcopy. In the case of severe ectopic cervical columnar epithelium, colposcopy requires the application of acetic acid, which may cause a small amount of vaginal bleeding, and if there is no other discomfort, temporary observation and oral antibiotics to prevent infection. If the bleeding is caused by a cervical biopsy, the doctor will put gauze in the vagina to stop the bleeding and send the patient home to remove it 24 hours later. If the amount of bleeding is greater than the amount of menstruation, you should go to the hospital to stop the bleeding. 1) Diet: Eat a light diet, try not to eat chili and stimulating food. 2) Hygiene: Keep your private parts hygienic, wash with cool boiled water, change your underwear regularly, mainly cotton, loose and breathable underwear. 3) Life: Keep a good mood, avoid getting cold, forbid intercourse and bathing, and forbid strenuous exercise.
