How to treat pediatric diarrhea

There are more ways to treat pediatric diarrhea, the common ones are diet therapy, rehydration therapy, symptomatic treatment, infection control, etc. The specific choice of which way to choose depends on the specific condition of the child. Dietary therapy: This is mainly for acute attacks of diarrhea, when parents can continue breastfeeding, and for babies with complementary foods, they can feed noodles, rice porridge, etc. Rehydration therapy: Children with diarrhea are prone to dehydration, so they must be replenished with enough fluids. If the diarrhea is more severe and moderate to severe dehydration has occurred, fluid must be given in a timely manner. Symptomatic treatment: If neither dietary therapy nor rehydration therapy can relieve the diarrhea, symptomatic treatment is necessary. Treatment can be given to protect the gastrointestinal mucosa and improve the intestinal flora environment. Control of infection: If the baby’s diarrhea is caused by bacteria, anti-infective drugs are needed to stop the diarrhea, and attention should be paid to daily dietary hygiene. Pediatric diarrhea is not difficult to control, as long as you choose the right way to stop diarrhea quickly, parents do not have to be overly nervous and fearful when they encounter this situation, positive response is the key.
