Does ASC-US require treatment?

ASC-US does not necessarily require treatment; it is a result of a cervical exfoliative cytology (TCT), which needs to be refined with a human papillomavirus (HPV) test to determine whether treatment is needed. ASC-US is the result of cervical exfoliative cytology (TCT), which indicates that atypical cervical epithelial cells of unclear significance have been detected in the examination. Whether or not treatment is needed needs to be examined to see whether or not it is accompanied by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection in order to determine whether or not treatment is necessary. If ASC-US is accompanied by HPV positivity, cervical biopsy can be performed through colposcopy again. If the biopsy result suggests cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, surgical treatment is required; if there is no cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, no treatment is needed for the time being, and regular follow-up is sufficient. If the test result is ASC-US, please follow the doctor’s advice to improve other tests and treatments.
