What’s with the dry cough and the wheezing?

The presence of a dry cough and wheezing is most commonly associated with a high airway response of the respiratory system, that is, bronchial asthma, as well as wheezing bronchitis with the involvement of allergic factors. Invasion by pathogens, including viruses and bacteria, occurs as a result of a decrease in the body’s immunity due to exposure to cold, rain, or late nights. It may also be due to irritation from allergens, including cold air, pollen, sulfur dioxide, or eating allergic foods such as soy milk, eggs, nuts, and seafood. This causes a strong inflammatory reaction of the airway mucosa, and there will be contraction and spasm of the airway smooth muscle, narrowing of the airway and causing a dry cough, accompanied by wheezing and shortness of breath. Clinically, the condition and cause of the cough can be clarified by taking CT of both lungs, checking for allergens, and even checking lung function.
