Pain in the liver area is not necessarily due to liver cancer. Many types of hepatitis, cholecystitis, parasitic diseases, inflammation around the liver and even diseases of the abdominal wall to which the liver area belongs can cause pain in the liver area. There are many causes of pain in the liver area, therefore, patients are advised to seek medical attention as soon as possible if they experience pain in the liver area.
