Does gallbladder removal accelerate aging?

Removal of the gallbladder does not accelerate one’s aging. The gallbladder has the function of concentrating, storing and excreting bile. When the gallbladder is removed, the bile ducts will be compensated to dilate, thus playing a role similar to that of the gallbladder. The vast majority of patients can completely return to a normal standard of living after cholecystectomy with the body’s self-regulation and there will be no adverse reactions. Although some patients may experience indigestion such as nausea, bloating and steatorrhea after eating fatty foods, if they can pay attention to adjusting their dietary structure, it will neither affect the quality of life nor the absorption of nutrients. Therefore, there will be no obvious impact on the function of the vital organs of the organism, and there will be no impact on the survival period. The so-called cholecystectomy will increase the risk of colorectal cancer incidence, just before the individual reports of a few cases that, at present, there is no evidence-based medical evidence to support. Cholecystectomy is a common clinical procedure, and it is safe to assume that patients after cholecystectomy have been shown not to experience accelerated aging.
