Assessment of X-ray mammography quality
1. Midline lateral tilt position (MLO position) projection of the breast
(1) Diagnostic requirements Postural criteria for imaging (Figure 1-1)
Correct angle of the pectoral muscle
The lower corner of the breast is visible
Clear image of the lateral tissue of the breast
Clear image of the fatty tissue behind the breast
The image does not show skin wrinkles
Clear and symmetrical imaging of the left and right sides of the chest Tang Yi, Department of Surgery, Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University
(2) Photography condition standard
Skin contour is visible under the viewing light
Vascular structures are visible through the dense parenchyma of the breast
All vascular and pectoral muscle edges (without motion artifacts) are clear
Clear imaging of skin structures along the pectoral muscle
2. Frontal and lateral projection of the breast (CC position)
