What does it mean to be positive for 12HRHPV

A positive 12HRHPV represents one or more of the 12 high-risk HPV types, including 0, 31, 33, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 66, 68. Persistent infection with high-risk HPV viruses can easily cause high-grade cervical lesions, which can develop into cervical cancer. Routine physical examinations for cervical lesions include cervical TCT and cervical HPV screening. The results of the TCT and HPV tests are used to confirm the need for colposcopy and cervical biopsy, and if both TCT and HPV tests are positive, colposcopic cervical biopsy is needed. The next treatment plan should be formulated in conjunction with the TCT results.
