A small white spot on the inside of the eyelid is usually caused by a conjunctival stone or a blockage in the opening of the lid gland. Conjunctival stones are not actual stones that have formed inside the conjunctival tissue, but rather white particles formed by the accumulation of metabolic products in the conjunctival tissue, which can produce symptoms such as a foreign body sensation in the eye, which can be removed by the doctor with a sterile needle to relieve the patient’s discomfort. Promoting Recovery If the opening of the blepharoplasty is blocked due to an unhealthy diet, excessive oil intake, or too little washing of the face, blepharoplasty secretions become sticky and block the opening, and white oily secretions accumulate inside the blepharoplasty gland, forming white particles. This can be treated with hot compresses and blepharoplasty massages to clear the gland and improve the discomfort. Patients with white spots on the eyelids are advised to seek medical attention to evaluate their condition and follow their doctor’s instructions.
