Non-surgical treatment cannot correct X-leggedness. Conservative treatment can only reduce the pain and discomfort of the patient. The main aim is to reduce the pressure on the inside of the knee joint by reducing weight and doing less strenuous exercise such as running and climbing. Attention is also paid to exercising the muscle strength of the leg and exercising the flexibility of the knee joint to reduce the discomfort of the knee joint. However, as the cause of X-leg remains, once the symptoms are relieved, there will be recurrent knee discomfort once the patient has increased exercise and gained weight.
