What is the third generation hepatitis B vaccine

Hepatitis B Vaccine III is a new third-generation hepatitis B virus vaccine approved in the U.S. for the treatment of hepatitis B. It is an adult HBV vaccine that targets the 3 hepatitis B virus antigens. Hepatitis B vaccination is the most effective way to prevent hepatitis B virus infection. Vaccination stimulates the body’s immune system to produce protective antibodies. The new third-generation hepatitis B vaccine contains virus-like particles of HBV’s Pre-S1, Pre-S2, and S surface antigens, which are typically better immunogenic compared to other vaccines, and typically triggers a strong seroprotective effect after two or three immunizations. The new vaccine was well tolerated with no unintended reactogenicity. The most common adverse reactions in all age groups are generally injection site pain and tenderness, myalgia, and fatigue, but all of these adverse reactions usually resolve spontaneously in about 1-2 days.
