What causes oxygen deprivation in babies

There are two general causes of fetal hypoxia that can be considered. The first is the cause of the fetus itself. Fetal hypoxia can be caused by poor quality of the fertilized egg, poor fetal development, malformations in the fetus that predispose it to intrauterine growth restriction, and craniocerebral developmental abnormalities. The second is maternal factors. Pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus, hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, multiple uterine fibroids, excessive amniotic fluid, amniotic fluid, etc. may cause placental hypoplasia, resulting in intrauterine fetal hypoxia.
