In general HFMD does not cause obvious itching, only a few cases will occur, lasting from 7-15 days. The actual situation of each person is different, and the duration of local itching will vary from person to person, and not everyone has the same duration of illness. The main symptoms are red herpes on the hands, feet, buttocks and mouth, which makes babies feel uncomfortable and unconsciously scratch with their hands, which can easily lead to infection due to herpes breaking. Itching can also occur when the herpes breaks out and causes skin infection; or if the baby wears clothes that are not soft enough, the frictional stimulation of the herpes can cause itching; itching can also occur when the herpes crusts over, and parents can apply topical medication to relieve the symptoms of itchy skin.
