The Hepatitis B Penta test has three types of antibodies: Hepatitis B Surface Antibody, Hepatitis B Core Antibody and Hepatitis B e Antibody. If the test is qualitative, the result will be positive, i.e. surface antibody positive, core antibody positive and e antibody positive. If the test is quantitative, it is a numerical value, and anything above the normal test value is considered positive. Surface antibodies are usually positive if they are greater than 10; e-antibodies are positive if they are less than 1; and core antibodies are positive if they are greater than 1.
