Perianal eczema is a common non-infectious skin disease that is mostly confined to the skin around the anus and occasionally spreads to the buttocks, perineum and clitoris, with localized papules, erythema, vesicles, oozing, crusting and flaking. With a long course of the disease, the perianal skin is often thickened, grayish or dark red and rough, resulting in cracking, oozing, itching, and recurrence as the main features, and can develop at any age. Chronic eczema is more common than acute eczema and is characterized by thickened skin, tinea changes, creases and cracks, a tendency to ooze, intense itching, chronicity, and easy recurrence.
