Will blocked fallopian tubes pass on their own?

Blocked fallopian tubes are mostly due to inflammation and are a post-operative complication of gynecological surgery. They usually do not heal on their own and basically require treatment to unblock them. The fallopian tubes play an important role in the conception process of a woman. They pick up eggs and transport them to unite with sperm to form a fertilized egg. When the fallopian tubes are blocked, the sperm cannot meet the egg, which is the direct cause of infertility. If the fallopian tubes are blocked and cannot be opened on their own, timely treatment is needed. It is recommended to have a tubal iodography within 3-7 days after menstruation to confirm the site of tubal blockage. If the blockage is not serious, conservative treatment can be given. However, if the tubal blockage is serious, surgical treatment is needed, either hysteroscopic intubation and lavage or combined hysteroscopic laparoscopic guidewire unblocking. In addition, patients are advised to monitor ovulation and prepare for pregnancy after the fallopian tubes are unblocked. If the unblocking of the fallopian tubes is not good, IVF can be used to help conceive.
