If the patient lies down on the right side, it is mainly considered as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, which is also caused by otoliths. In this case, it is recommended that the patient should visit a hospital and have a positional test done to clarify the condition, and then the patient can be treated with a manual reset. Generally, after 1-2 repositioning, the patient’s vertigo symptoms can be completely relieved. However, if the patient cannot tolerate the resetting, he can take some oral medication for vertigo, such as betahistine mesylate to improve the symptoms, or promethazine hydrochloride to stop the dizziness and vomiting, and then do the resetting treatment. The vertigo caused by otoliths is more characteristic, as the patient has episodes of vertigo during the change of the position of the head, accompanied by rotation of vision, which usually lasts no more than one minute.
