How to tell if it’s frozen shoulder or cancer

The differentiation between frozen shoulder and cancer is often based on the location of the lesion, the nature of the pain, and imaging tests.
1. Lesion site: Frozen shoulder is known as periarthritis of the shoulder joint, and the primary lesion is the shoulder joint capsule, surrounding muscles, bursa and so on. Cancer-induced shoulder pain is usually not the primary lesion, but a metastatic lesion, usually lung cancer, primary liver cancer, etc., which is transferred to the shoulder joint through blood or lymph nodes.
2. The nature of pain is different: the pain of frozen shoulder usually manifests as mild pain occurring around the shoulder, which is usually alleviated after resting, or alleviated after correct exercise and medication, or even clinically cured. Cancer-induced shoulder pain will gradually aggravate, the pain is severe and intolerable, resulting in limited shoulder joint activities, the symptoms do not decrease after rest, and drug treatment is ineffective.
3. Imaging examination: the imaging examination of frozen shoulder shows inflammation of the tissues around the shoulder. And cancer pain will find that there are cancer foci.
If you find any of the above symptoms, you should seek medical treatment in time, go to regular hospitals to find specialized doctors, and get timely diagnosis and treatment so as not to delay your condition.
