Pohoi Xiang Zheng Qi Shui is not generally used for the treatment of fever, but is mainly used for the treatment of colds and flu caused by external wind-cold, internal dampness stagnation (the stagnation of dampness in the body caused by a diet that is too cold), or summer heat and dampness (the human body is susceptible to the invasion of summer heat and dampness in the summer).
Pogostemon Zhenqi Shui is mainly composed of more than ten Chinese medicines such as Huo Xiang, Chen Pi, Angelica dahurica, etc. It has the efficacy of relieving the surface and neutralizing the middle, regulating qi and resolving dampness, and is used for colds and flu caused by wind-cold, internal dampness stagnation, or summer dampness, with headache and heaviness, chest and diaphragm constriction, distension and pain of the epigastrium, vomiting and diarrhea, and the gastrointestinal type of colds and flu with the above mentioned symptoms.
Adverse reactions such as nausea and vomiting may occur when taking Huo Xiang Zheng Qi Shui. It is forbidden for those who are allergic to this product and its ingredients, and for those who are allergic to alcohol.
If fever occurs, in good mental condition, without severe vomiting or abdominal pain, and the body temperature is low, you can drink warm salt water to replenish water, to prevent dehydration due to heavy sweating in the process of fever reduction.
Or use a cool towel on the patient’s forehead or wipe his chest, back, armpits, groin, hands and feet to physically lower the temperature. Wiping with warm water can also be used to help lower the temperature. If the temperature continues to rise above 38.5°C, fever-reducing medication should be used under medical supervision. One hour after the use of medication or physical cooling, the patient’s temperature should be measured and recorded until the patient’s temperature drops.
If the patient’s temperature exceeds 39°C, the patient should consult a doctor to find out the cause of the fever and then follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment to avoid damage to the brain tissue due to high fever.
