Parotid gland tumor without pain is benign or malignant

Parotid tumors without pain are generally benign, and the vast majority of malignant tumors of the parotid gland are accompanied by pain, numbness and other symptoms.
1. Benign parotid tumors have the common characteristics of ordinary benign tumors, such as clear boundaries between the tumor and the surrounding normal tissues, smooth surface of the tumor without adhesions, and have a certain degree of mobility, etc.; there is no obvious pain, itching and other self-conscious symptoms, and the growth rate is relatively slow, and the course of the disease is longer, up to a few years or even decades, and it is not generally life-threatening.
2. Malignant tumor of parotid gland has no clear boundary with the surrounding tissues, most of them are adhered to the surrounding tissues, and the mobility of the lumps is poor; the tumor grows faster and is often accompanied by pain, and there will be numbness and other neurological symptoms when the tumor encroaches on the nerves, which may even lead to the death of the patients in serious cases.
It should be noted that some benign parotid tumors, such as mixed tumors, have the possibility of malignant transformation, so once the swelling should be timely medical treatment, do not take it lightly.
