What are the early symptoms of laryngeal cancer?

The symptoms of laryngeal cancer have different clinical manifestations according to the location and degree of cancer: 1.If the tumor grows on the vocal folds, there will be hoarseness in the early stage, cough and hemoptysis as the tumor grows, and then there will be difficulty in breathing when the tumor grows to a certain degree. 2.If the tumor grows above the vocal cords, which is clinically known as supraglottis laryngeal cancer, the symptoms of this type of laryngeal cancer are often not obvious or appear late, so it is easy to be misdiagnosed, so patients and doctors should be alert. This is caused by the obstruction of the larynx by the tumor. This type of laryngeal cancer tumor can easily metastasize to the lymph nodes in the neck. Therefore, attention should be paid to it during examination, and if there is a lump in the neck, attention should be drawn to it. Therefore, when patients have throat discomfort, they should go to ENT department for comprehensive and detailed examination and dynamic laryngoscopy or fiberoptic laryngoscopy to avoid missing the diagnosis. 3. There is another type of laryngeal cancer called subglottic laryngeal cancer, which grows below the vocal cords of the larynx, and the symptoms are not obvious in the early stage, but in the late stage, there may be symptoms such as hoarseness and difficulty in breathing, which should also be brought to attention.
