Does a child with a broken foot have to keep going to school?

It is not recommended that a child with a fractured foot should continue to attend school. It is not recommended that children continue to go to school with a fractured foot, because the foot has a greater burden when walking, and continuing to go to school with a fractured foot will aggravate the burden on the fracture site and cause the fracture to move abnormally, thus affecting the healing of the fracture. If the fracture is not significantly displaced or is mildly displaced, it can be treated conservatively by immobilizing the fracture in a plaster cast. If the fracture is significantly displaced, surgical treatment, such as internal fixation with Kirschner pins and plates, is required. Regardless of the choice of treatment, bed rest is necessary after a foot fracture, and the fracture site can only heal faster in a non-weight-bearing state. If the child’s foot is fractured, it is recommended that the patient go to the hospital for a complete examination and regular treatment.
