What are the early symptoms of Meniere’s disease

Early symptoms of Meniere’s disease include tinnitus.
Tinnitus may be the earliest symptom to appear in the disease. In the early stages, tinnitus appears before an attack of vertigo and gradually diminishes or disappears as the vertigo attack subsides. After repeated attacks, the tinnitus may persist and not be relieved during the intervals.
The nature of tinnitus varies, mostly low-pitched in the early stage, but in the late stage, it can be a cacophony of sounds of various pitches, such as bells, cicadas, motor sounds, wind-blown wires and so on, and in a small number of patients, tinnitus can occur on both sides of the ears, or extend from one side to the opposite side, which is a sign of the involvement of the two ears.
When there is no obvious cause of tinnitus symptoms, followed by sudden onset of dizziness, nausea, vomiting with hearing loss and other symptoms, should be alert to the possibility of Meniere’s disease, need to actively seek medical attention, after a clear diagnosis, standardized treatment.
