There are several types of colon polyp biopsy findings

There are 4 types of colon polyp biopsies, which are related to specific cytopathologic conditions, including inflammatory polyps, hyperplastic polyps, misshapen polyps, and adenomatous polyps. 1. Inflammatory polyps: mainly occur after inflammatory lesions, such as Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis, which can easily lead to corresponding polyps, and biopsy results can find a large number of inflammatory cells. 2. Hyperplastic polyp: the polyp is related to mucosal epithelial tissue hyperplasia, with age, the incidence of a gradual increase in biopsy results are mainly hyperplasia of epithelial cells. 3. Misconstructed tumor polyp: preferred in children, itself belongs to the tissue cells after the formation of misconfiguration, pathology biopsy cell composition. 4. Adenomatous polyp: it is a kind of precancerous lesion, mainly including choriocarpous adenoma, tubular adenoma and mixed adenoma, and the pathological biopsy result is adenomatous cells. Polyps accompanied by localized pain and bleeding, need timely medical observation, standardized treatment under the guidance of clinicians.
