Are small nodules in the lobes of the lungs serious?

Whether a small nodule in the lung lobe is serious or not needs to be determined by the nature and size of the nodule.
Lung nodules are generally categorized into solid nodules and ground glass nodules.
1. If the nodule is a ground glass nodule, it is usually caused by inflammatory stimulation, and the nodule is less than 5mm, the patient does not have obvious clinical symptoms, it is usually not very serious, and you only need to review regularly to keep abreast of the nodule’s condition.
2. If the nodule is between 6~8mm, if the surface of the nodule is not smooth, lobed and short burrs appear, and the patient also has pleural pain, hemoptysis and other symptoms, it may be early lung cancer, which is usually more serious.
Therefore, it is recommended to go to regular hospitals for further examination when nodules appear in the lung lobes, and follow the doctor’s instruction for treatment according to the examination results.
