Usually, you can determine whether you have roundworms in your stomach through your own symptoms as well as laboratory tests and imaging tests.
1. Symptoms: If there are roundworms in the stomach, there may be nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, night terrors, teeth grinding chest pain, dyspnea, abdominal strips and other symptoms, considering that there may be roundworms. However, the diagnosis cannot be confirmed.
2. Laboratory tests: for example, eggs, larvae or adult roundworms can be detected in fecal smear; or roundworms can be detected in sputum, alveolar lavage fluid and vomit, which can confirm the diagnosis.
3. Imaging examination: for example, abdominal plain film sometimes shows a large number of worms in the abdomen, or chest plain film shows larvae in the lungs, ultrasound and retrograde cholangiopancreatography may also find roundworms.
If the above symptoms are present, it is recommended to go to the hospital as soon as possible for relevant examinations to confirm the diagnosis and treatment.
