Is it normal to have hairy nipples?

Generally, nipple hair growth is normal, however, if the nipple grows thicker and more hair, it may be an abnormality.
In general, most people have hair growing in the nipple area. Hair follicles are present around the nipple or in other locations on the body, and the follicles around the nipple appear to start growing hair during developmental periods. It is also normal for children to have hairy breasts if both parents have hairy breasts.
However, if the patient’s nipple hair growth is thicker and more, we need to consider whether it is caused by the patient’s body hormone level disorders, excessive secretion of androgen or skin diseases, in which case it is abnormal.
If the patient has breast hair, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital to find out the cause and follow the doctor’s instructions to receive treatment. But be careful not to pluck directly by hand, so as not to cause folliculitis.
