Undifferentiated non-keratinized carcinoma of the nasopharynx is not necessarily advanced. Undifferentiated non-keratinized carcinoma is a pathological staging of nasopharyngeal cancer, not a staging of nasopharyngeal cancer. Undifferentiated non-keratinized carcinoma represents low degree of tumor differentiation, higher degree of deterioration, obvious local infiltration, and poorer therapeutic effect compared with other subtypes. Undifferentiated non-keratinized carcinoma of nasopharyngeal carcinoma can be classified into stage I-IV, and the earlier the stage, the better the treatment effect and prognosis. Only some stage III patients and stage IV patients belong to advanced stage. The treatment of stage I is based on single radiotherapy and prophylactic external radiation therapy to the lymph nodes in the neck. Stage II is treated with external radiation therapy to the nasopharyngeal tumor and prophylactic radiotherapy to the neck. Stage III is mainly radiotherapy, supplemented by drug therapy, chemotherapy and other comprehensive treatments. Most of stage IV takes systemic chemotherapy and palliative radiotherapy. Nasopharyngeal cancer patients should go to hospital for consultation and treatment in time to avoid delay.
