Is early cirrhosis the same as cirrhosis in the compensated stage?

Early cirrhosis and compensated cirrhosis are generally the same. Cirrhosis is clinically categorized into compensated stage of cirrhosis and decompensated stage of cirrhosis, and the compensated stage of cirrhosis is usually referred to as early cirrhosis in clinical practice. Therefore, early cirrhosis and compensated cirrhosis are generally the same. Early cirrhosis indicates that the liver tissue has been structurally damaged and pseudolobules have appeared, but the biochemical indexes of the liver are not completely abnormal, and there are no obvious clinical symptoms. Early cirrhosis can be diagnosed by imaging and liver elasticity measurements, but a liver biopsy is required for a definitive diagnosis, which is the gold standard for diagnosis.
